My name is Oscar Heller, the chair of the Brattleboro Selectboard. This is my personal website. I use it to maintain some personal info about me in my Selectboard role, to occasionally post news, essays, or events, and to be accessible to my neighbors and my community.

You’re always welcome to contact me at any time, about any topic. My job is to help make the town better, and to help my neighbors with their troubles. The best way to reach me is at my Selectboard email: oheller@brattleboro.gov

I’m including my Letterboxd account for fun. Now you’ll really know what kind of person I am. (Some ratings may be old or inaccurate - I reserve the right to correct the record.)

Why does it look like this?

Well, I got tired of having a glossy, marketing-y website, so I decided to make a simple one I could easily maintain myself. I want my site to prioritize words, not media and graphics and self-promotion. I’m so tired of that stuff.

What’s your AI use policy?

Every single sentence, idea, opinion, or thought on this website is mine, written by me and only me.
